A Natural Christmas: Fill Your Home With Natures Joyful Gifts
Celebrate The Season
Decorate with nature and
fill your home with the scents of the season
and the beauty of harvested greenery
How We Celebrate
This has been a tough and unusual year and I can’t help but feel a little anxious t
o get December out of the way,
and to move forward into the new year.
I believe we are all thinking carefully about what matters, how things can and should feel normal
and above all, still create gatherings that are for remembering, in years to come
Find balance and give yourself the opportunity
to enjoy the holidays in ways that matter
To celebrate the season in a fresh new way….it’s all about going natural.
Lots of beautiful boughs, baskets and simple seasonal arrangements.
This holiday I kept things simple, with a single special lush garland made of eucalyptus and California pepper.
The chunky candles are lit in the evening and add just the right amount of sparkle
Instead of one large Christmas tree I opted for two small live olive trees flanking the fire place.
Nestled in inexpensive baskets they are easy to water and look bright and airy.
an extra large natural wreath of noble fir boughs
anchors the space above the hearth.
Smaller wreaths hang on the antique factory windows
All of my old bowls are filled to the brim with natural greenery.
Seasonal florals are simple but full of the magic of winter and are a beautiful natural way to ring in the season.
I really could have used a happy group of Elves to help me out.
Oh yes…. I did have one elf….my dog Kiki.
She keeps things moving in the right direction, post nap!
No ribbons were necessary this year.
But, I love these old sap pots used as little bells and Navajo rugs to add some Christmas red.
Most of the pillows throughout this space are covered with antique fabrics.
The calm of the soft colors look especially pretty mixed in with the lush greens of pine.
‘Tis the season for:
Baskets and bowls
Natural Garland
Pared-back florals
Natural light
Simple stylish moments
